Very recently I had an amazing opportunity in being asked to be a vendor at the spring antique show at Roundtop, Texas at Bluehills. This is world renowned and lauded for showcasing the world bests antiques, unique furniture and decorative arts from some of the most interesting cast of sellers. It happens twice a year over a two-week period for the past 50 years and people flock from across the US – an antique festival of epic proportion!
From the first time I set foot in tiny Roundtop a few years ago I had an absolute affinity with the it. From its rolling green pastures and large old oak trees it felt rather like what I knew being an English girl at heart!
Thinking about the design of my little showroom and tailoring it to my brand, I was very influenced by trellis and Bunny Mellon’s infamous trompe l’oeil garden room and Get the Gusto antiques. My family and I started to recreate my dream for the booth, my husband set about with his favorite tools recreating the fabulous trellis paneling and painting them in Farrow and Ball blue gray. My daughter Coco designed and produced a circular hand painted wooden GB sign and my son filled the truck, van and trailer to the brim with my favorite pieces which have been gathered from around the globe.
I am thrilled to bring my passion in interiors and beautiful antiques to reality on this new stage and I hope those who visit will like my vision and be part of this unfolding story!
Come and say hello to me: Bluehills at Roundtop Tent F 20th March-3rd April 2021.
